What is Nationwide Cleanup?
The Nationwide Cleanup is an annual event facilitated by Clean up Nepal to bring together individuals, communities, schools, government and private organizations in Nepal to clean up our streets, rivers and public spaces. The aim is to improve the immediate environment and increase awareness about what we can all do to make Nepal a clean and beautiful country! We are here to help you understand how easy it is to segregate waste and to provide you with the needed support and resources to raise awareness about why waste burning and dumping needs to stop today.
Nationwide Cleanup Challenges in 2018
Inter-School Cleanup and Poster Competition
This competition requires schools to organize a cleanup and then create a poster. The winning school will be awarded school resources to the value of 1 lakh rupees.
Community Cleanups
Organize a community clean-up or join an existing group on World Cleanup Day, 15 September 2018 and do your part to care for our environment.
Action against Littering & Burning
Burning of waste is extremely harmful to our health and our litter is polluting our cities. Help put a stop to this by raising awareness within your community and organizations.

Why is the Nationwide Cleanup important?
As Nepal continues to develop, we are producing more and more waste. Our systems are struggling to cope. We want to educate and empower schools and communities to manage waste in a better way to improve our health and environment.

Clean up Nepal is a for-purpose, non-governmental, not-for-profit organization registered in Nepal. The Nationwide Cleanup has been Clean up Nepal’s flagship event since it started in 2013.
